As a native Hawaiian I love creating cultural shoots, they are dear to my heart. I grew up dancing hula and lei making. I even participated in Pa'u the equestrian tradition from the early 19th Century when horses were introduced to Hawai'i and Ali'i women dressed up to ride for formal occasions. Today we continue the tradition at parades and culturally practice the art of gathering and lei making. Through photography, I capture and create images that will show modern and past culture while we continue the traditions of our ancestors for our future generations to know who they are and where they came from.
